We offer an appointment system which allows appointments to be booked both in advance and emergency on the day.
We encourage patients to book advance appointments for routine or longstanding (chronic) problems and these can be made up to six weeks in advance.
We now have the facility to book appointments online. These are limited whilst we introduce the new system but will gradually include more appointments.

Please think about what you want to get out of your appointment. Try and think through your symptoms to give a clear picture to your doctor or nurse.
Concentrate on one problem per appointment: you may have several concerns but you GP cannot assess several different problems in one appointment. If you feel you are going to need extra time, please ask the receptionists to make you a double appointment.
One patient per appoinment! Many patients try to be helpful by squeezing in another family member. Everyone deserves their time with the doctor or nurse so please request one appointment per person please.
Lateness: please arrive for your appointment on time. If you arrive late the doctor or nurse may be unable to see you and ask you to rebook another appointment.
You may be offered a telephone consultation with a healthcare professional if no appointments are available.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel it as soon as possible so that we can offer it to another patient.
Last year (2017-2018) we saw 4,931 patients at Tattenham Health Centre but we had over 844 missed appointments!
Please don’t be a DNA (Did Not Attend)!
Remember, if you cannot attend your appointment, cancel it. We could have offered 844 appointments to other patients who urgently needed them.
Please cancel your appointment if you no longer need it.
